Espresso Study 1 & 2 is a diptych capturing the quiet ritual of drinking espresso—before and after the first sip. On two small 6x6 canvases, a plate, spoon, sparkling water, and espresso cup are shown from slightly shifted perspectives, inviting the viewer to notice what changes, and what remains.

Painted with a bright red underpainting, the works pulse with energy beneath their surface. Cool teal shadows and blue-toned highlights create a push-pull between warmth and chill, echoing the tension between stillness and motion. These everyday objects, usually overlooked, are treated with reverence and close attention—offering a meditation on time, consumption, and the small gestures that punctuate our routines.
