still life #2
8” x 8” Oil on wood panel
Still Life 2 is a small painting made from a moment during a study date at a coffee shop. The table was cluttered with a laptop, calculator, phone, and scattered cups—some full, some emptied or abandoned mid-sip.
I painted it minimally, letting just enough detail come through to hold the feeling of the scene without spelling everything out. It’s less about precision and more about atmosphere—the quiet busyness of working side by side, surrounded by the slow accumulation of things.
