Dine N’ Dash was inspired by the same orange diner table featured in Booth Please, but this time I was more interested in the reflections and colors found in the cups. I focused on the dark coffee and the light-colored mugs. I enjoyed playing with the contrast between cool blue shadows and warm yellow highlights bouncing off the table. This painting became an excuse to explore color relationships and new palette knife techniques.
