No Room For Play
No Room For Play
oil on gallery wrapped canvas
24×36 inches
This work shows a person walking their dog and staring at their phone as their pet pisses all over the sidewalk. The urine seems to flow towards the viewer. This is based off my experience watching this happen in Seattle from the window of a coffee shop and being really grossed out.
Part of my larger series Documentation where I used painting as a way of freezing moments from my everyday that showed a strange relationship between connection, technology, and shared spaces.
