This painting was inspired by a moment shared while checking into a motel with friends before an event we had traveled into town for. As soon as we arrived, I started the small single-serve coffee maker and split the coffee between us in paper cups, joking that it was our “pregame” for the night ahead. Painted in soft purples and yellows, the work captures the comfort and humor found in moments shared with friends.
