Park

8” x 8” Oil on canvas

This plein air study was painted while vending at a farmers market, looking out at something usually overlooked: a parking lot full of cars. It started as an exercise in finding beauty in the mundane—but turned into a bit of a challenge when the cars kept moving. Still, there was something joyful in capturing the shapes, light, and rhythm of a scene most people pass by without a second glance. Imperfect, but honest.
